I was not in any physical condition to move, yet I felt this Chronic Pain Program would be a way to get in touch with my body instead of focusing on the pain and negative feelings. Dear One,
Would you like to wake up feeling like you want to move? If you are in pain, sometimes it feels best to be still. Yet over time, that non-moving only makes the body ache more. What if you could move in a way to feel relief and bring brightness into your life?
At one point I was lying on the couch most days, in fear of not being able to walk, let alone teach dance again. And, during this time, I also found wonderful gifts and insight that shifted my life. My mission ever since has been to support people with chronic pain.
I am thrilled to offer the online version of Transform Chronic Pain: Reclaim Your Life Program which will begin in late Fall 2020!
The Transform Chronic Pain program is based on the wisdom and science of dance/movement and my personal experience during years of pain. You will be introduced to gentle dance/movement that will help you feel better, support your immune system, and balance the mental and emotional aspects that come with dealing with pain. (By the way, the term “dance” in this context is not like ballet, ballroom or other professional dances. It is simply your ability to move in a way that is natural for you.)
Twenty-three percent of people and children in the United States are suffering from chronic pain, and the largest percentage is women. While pain can be debilitating for so many, I take a stand for women who are suffering to know — there is another way.

Teresa has personal experience living with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis which led her to find healing movement to help relieve pain. She is known for her joyful attitude and ability to engage people to move a way that is fun and engaging. She created Live Love Move to educate people about the life-long gifts in conscious movement. She holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in the Nia®Technique which she has practiced and taught for 15 years. Teresa is an Ageless Grace Brain Fitness Educator and Trainer, Polarity Therapy Energy Practitioner and recently completed a three-year intensive program in Dance/Movement Therapy. Part I
Module 1: Your Body’s Story
Reflect on your body’s past and present stories to gain insight into how you got to now.
Learn how to tune into your body’s intelligence to become aware of how to move more efficiently.
Begin to move in a way that brings more pleasure, less pain.
Live Class Focus: “Befriending Your Body”
Integrate: Create a practice toward real change.
Module 2 – Your Mind: Clarity as a Step to Change
Identify “energy-depleting” words and thoughts about yourself and practice “energy-lifting” vocabulary.
Create a vision where you wish to be.
Explore Moving Meditation to envision your desired potential.
Class Focus: “Creating Your Vision”
Integrate: Create a practice toward real change.
Module 3 – Your Emotions: Unfolding Your Wings
Try on a variety of emotions to recognize “stuck” movement patterns.
Play with art and music to gain insight into feelings through healthy expression.
Class Focus: Shaping Your Body’s Story, Part I
Integrate Your Learning: Communicate (move, draw, write, speak) to share your insights.

Module 4 –Your Gift is to Express
Reflect on how you have experienced using your voice in life (boldly? timidly? in-between?)
Learn how sound healing can relax your nervous system and enhance your self-expression.

Module 5 – Do It, Your Way
Learn about an array of natural healing methods.
Identify your priorities to find practitioners and resources to support you.

Module 6 – It’s Your Choice Now
Making choices in your body for pleasure.
Change one simple thing to create an environment that supports you now.

The activities that Terri, a gifted healer, took us through in this program were unusual for this "corporate type" and unexpectedly wonderful!
